About Me
Hello everyone, my name is James and I’ve been a web developer for 25 years now (Hi, James…)
I’ve been making websites since the beginning. Well, fairly near the beginning, 1999 to be exact. Back in the day where people were still using Netscape Navigator and asking Jeeves questions that it didn’t give the right answer to, Internet Explorer 5 was the pain in every developer’s proverbial and a new search engine called Google was just attracting attention.
I actually wanted to be a radio DJ when I graduated from university but we tend to fall into the things we’re naturally good at and I’m just good at programming. I’ve gone from typing out the programs in the back of Your Sinclair magazine as a child to writing and designing fully bespoke websites, everything from a bespoke horse racing website to shopping cart sites with thousand of products to working at the BBC and writing the original website for a tv show that was just about to come out called The Office.
(Fun fact: before we knew what The Office was really about, we came up with an idea of having a bathroom webcam that would have silly things happening like a Mariachi band busking while you washed your hands. We got a memo back that the two writers didn’t like that idea as it didn’t fit in with the overall tone)
I’ve also been a drummer since 1992 and I style my playing on Keith Moon, organic rhythms and plenty of crashes.
I pride myself on being clear talking, ultra professional, incredibly helpful and I won’t ever baffle anyone with techie nonsense.
My goal is simple. I want you and your business to succeed. Some of my clients have been with me since 2010. I can proudly and honestly say that I’ve never had a single client unhappy with my work.
